May I suggest Johnny Depp as a prospective Grin

Hungrydragon · 24/10/2011 22:42

or was this thread not looking for a replacement, but a present for your current Mr OliviaMumsnet?

OliviaMumsnet · 24/10/2011 22:52

Better not call him the Current MrOliviaMumsnet, he's reading over my shoulder Grin

My dh travels a lot and stays in scummy hotels. I am buying him a mini fridge so he can have fresh milk in his tea in the morning, when he is stuck in there for more than a couple of days.

Yup, a mini fridge....I'm THAT romantic Wink

Hungrydragon · 25/10/2011 00:24

....oh and

Hello Mr OliviasMumsnets dh forever and ever and ever and ever.....

Stop reading the Christmas section it's very norty.

prolificwillybreeder · 25/10/2011 15:45

I've bought my DP a camera. He has been going on and on about this panasonic lumix thingy bob with the shiny lens and blah blah.
It was the full budget and I've saved for it £80 but it is a really good camera and if you buy gadgets in John Lewis they tend to do a 1 year guarantee.

BertieBotts · 25/10/2011 15:51

I'm thinking of getting DP a Go Ape experience thing. Like tree climbing/swinging and stuff.

foolserrand · 25/10/2011 15:52

I have found this awesome website where they get to pretend they are a member of a SWAT team for the day, pistols, hand to hand combat and restraint techniques, hostage rescue.... all very big kid and manly. Will find a link if anyone is interested....

ChooChooWowWow · 25/10/2011 18:42

Yes please foolserrand that sounds like just the thing my 6th child dh would love.

foolserrand · 25/10/2011 20:43

here

WitchesAreComing · 25/10/2011 20:53

Go Ape sounds good BB!

I will refrain from commenting about the swinging Grin

ChooChooWowWow · 25/10/2011 20:56

Thanks foolserrand I think that looks fab.

BertieBotts · 25/10/2011 21:34

Grin Blush I hope it's not that kind of swinging! Shock

Pigleychez · 25/10/2011 22:05

Oh, ive done Go Ape twice, its fab :)

DH is getting boring practical gifts. Ice grip things for when he walks to the station in the icy mornings. Warm jumpers etc. oh and he's mentioned a couple of PS3 games too.

Carrotsandcelery · 25/10/2011 23:01

If it helps my dh has an extensive list (it is his birthday too and he has high hopes).

He would like:
a tassimo machine
a golf club
new boots
new shoes
golf monthly subscription

girlywhirly · 26/10/2011 08:59

My DH has asked for new golf shoes. This means I shall have to accompany him to the golf shop while he tries them on!

I am also thinking of getting him a couple of Sigg water bottles, as he guzzles loads during the golf rounds. Now that you can get sports tops for them they will be ideal (I can't see him messing with the screw tops every time he wants a slurp!

I did once pay for him to have a lesson with a professional at the golf club to improve his techniques, that might be an option for someone.

aStabbingStrangleways · 26/10/2011 09:03

Go Ape is excellent fun, I can recommend it.

We are skint this year so it's books or similar for us. But I did get him a pair of touchscreen gloves from Muji for his birthday which went down very well - might be good as a stocking filler?

bagelmonkey · 26/10/2011 09:39

socks

SpannerPants · 26/10/2011 16:23

DP has got some Charles Tyrwitt shirts - very boring but he needs some new work shirts and they were 4 for £100 plus a free tie!

It's his birthday on NYE so I'll have to think of something less boring sensible for that.

TheRealMrsHannigan · 26/10/2011 16:32

DH is getting a family tour of the Emirates stadium (as much as football bores me, I know he'd love me and DD going along), a pair of boots he has been hankering after and some special gloves that let you use touch screen phones and ATM's etc without having to get your fingers out in the freezing cold Grin

fivegomadindorset · 26/10/2011 16:34

DH is getting a new pair of deck shoes from Charles Tyrwitt, and then we are off to Vinopolis for a piss up wine tasting expereince in February.

champagnesupernova · 03/12/2011 15:04

MrsHannigan those gloves sound good
