What would you do ds2 who is 2 on 24/12 loves playing with the broom and mop, so I thought a toy cleaning set, I can get a plastic one for between £5 and £10, or a wooden on which is £30 - huge price difference, how long will it be played with - does anyone have any advice. Really trying not to fill the house with plastic toys.

We had a plastic set that broke very quickly, but was much loved.

I bought DD a plastic one at about the same age. She had been obsessed with using my broom etc. and "helping" with the housework. She wasn't that bothered by the one I bought her though. She still just wanted to use the real ones Hmm

We had the plastic one - till the pup chewed it.

DD1 loved it and I really must replace it. Wouldn't bother with the wooden one as I couldnt justify the price difference!

Thanks everyone I am struggling with the price difference, nice to know they are played with, I just hope I don't have the same problem as Tillyscoutsmum.

That looks great shiny, dd1's first one was similar (but plastic!) and she loved it. Good price as well!
