Christmas markets in UK

A few years ago I went to Bruges and it was amazing. We were hoping to go again this year but haven't got the time really due to DPs job.

Are there any decent markets in the UK? I'm in north Yorkshire if any of them are near here.

Birmingham's Christmas Market is very good, but might mean you'd prefer an overnight stay rather than doing it in a day if you're coming from North Yorkshire.

York? Leeds is lovely too! Both close!

Last year I went to Birmingham and Leeds. I'm from West Yorks. I found the markets both the same! Same stalls, same prices etc. I wonder if the same people just travel to different cities?!

Manchester's market is ace and (long) day trippable from N. Yorks.

I second that Manchester's market is excellent, especially in the evening.

Don't mind Yorks but it's very familiar IYSWIM. We go to York at least once a month so want something different.

Manchester is do able. It takes about 2 hours to get there so I think we'll try it.
