Ikea have some nice non-pink unisex stuff - home based play.

Early learning centre. They often do a blue and a pink version of the role play toys (kitchens, kettles, toasters, tea sets, tool boxes etc).

DS has a great fisher price vacuum cleaner which he loves, as well as other cleaning items, such as brush from ELC and a regular mop (start 'em young Grin).

Pirate ship set.

YouWinOrYouDie · 24/09/2011 20:54

Does it have to be domestic Mum / Dad role-play? DS is the same age and autistic. The ELC pirate ship is grea and he also loves farm sets and the Octonaut figurines / pod.

If he likes pushing then ELC do a blue pushchair or a shopping trolley which is neutral.

Rosiek87 · 24/09/2011 21:01

he has a shopping trolley which is pink lol. But he is tall and has to lean over a bit with push along things which im not keen on. its more figure sets I wanna find a dolls house which isn't pink.

He doesnt understand playing where he himself pretends to be something, he is at the stage of walking animals/dolls around x

Playmobil do loads of houses

JarethTheGoblinKing · 24/09/2011 21:07

Toys r Us have lots of primary coloured, easy to handle stuff that my 3yo loves.

Would playmobil/duplo/happyland figures be too small for him?

trixymalixy · 24/09/2011 21:07

What about a castle instead if a dolls house?

Le toy van do some lovely stuff.

How about a bookshelf dolls house ? then it could end up being anything, plus it's good for storing everything?

JarethTheGoblinKing · 24/09/2011 21:25

and we've just bought this duplo house for DS for his 4th birthday.

Rosiek87 · 24/09/2011 21:28

We have had a lot of mileage out of Happy Land stuff from ELC - it's great for imaginative play. They come in loads of different scenes - airport, farm, fairground etc. Our most played with item is the house, as you can ring the doorbell, make the tv light up and make sounds, ring the telephone and the cooker makes "sizzling" sounds. A lot can be found on ebay.

Rosiek87 · 24/09/2011 21:31

Brilliant thank you :)

Grin

thanks. I wish I'd thought of it earlier but we're wall-to-wall expedit (which could also work if you stick a roof on it)

Rosiek87 · 24/09/2011 21:36

Think im gonna go with happy land :-) was just what im after

I've got a 20% off vouchers coming up, so don't order it just yet - I'll try to find it.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 24/09/2011 21:46

(for ELC I mean)

Beamur · 24/09/2011 21:48

If you're looking at ELC, then register online with them and your DC's age etc and they usually send discount vouchers ahead of birthdays and Xmas.

Rosiek87 · 24/09/2011 21:49

wow thank you thats so kind. They have 20% off happyland at the mo any way :D x
