A Christmas bedspread? Have I taken it too far now?

Or is anyone else doing this?

Have purchased this last night, I will only come out at Christmas

A step too far? Tell me I'm not the only one.

That's lovely. Gorgeous colour but perhaps a bit too subtle.

I have <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=Christmas+bedspread&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=N03&sa=X&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&biw=1760&bih=834&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=kc7GmdI2us0-rM:&imgrefurl=www.100-mile-house-log-homes.com/merry-christmas-bedding.html&docid=PwERR2tiFohSrM&w=400&h=400&ei=Pil7Tu_tNsSh0QXV4uijAw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=696&vpy=143&dur=459&hovh=225&hovw=225&tx=117&ty=157&page=1&tbnh=153&tbnw=146&start=0&ndsp=34&ved=1t:429,r:3,s:0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this one.

Damn!!!! I want one of those now.Envy

pissedrightoff · 22/09/2011 13:43

You can pay them over 4 months zaphod

Youwin I would have that but DH's protests would be heard across the land
:)

Am thinking some fairy lights draped across the headboard should add to the 'Christmassyness'

Like the fairy lights idea....maybe I can crochet a red throw with a green Christmas tree for the bed.....no the kids would want one too.

Dunelm Mill had some fleece Christmas throws last year, but I think they were only single bed size or smaller. Would do for kids beds though.

I once wound a fake ivy garland around our headboard because I'd seen it done in a Christmas magazine; their bed was iron and ours is wooden. DH said he didn't mind because he would be asleep and not looking at it! Now we have a new cat it would just get picked apart so no point.

My DC have fleecy throws from Lakeland Limited, and they come out every year.
DD has a Teddy Bear festive one, DS had Father Christmas climbing down the chimney and we have another FC fleece for the sofa.

Not a step too far at all.
