I wrapped the first present up last night

i start about now to christmas shop!! i have twins so i try to get lots of diffrent stuff!! :)

Hurray I can finally start thinking about Xmas cards and sorting my lists out :)
I am not ashamed to say I am excited by this!

Just been talking to my friend about Christmas (amongst other things!) and she has bought my Christmas present.
She had to tell me what it was and it's tickets to a gig.
One that I bought tickets for on Saturday!!!!!

This will be my first christmas on mumsnet. I've been saving since jan and hope to have £600. I usually start thinking about xmas now and start shopping once dc's are back at school. I'm excited now!!

Bought DDs main present last week.

Have a few bits for dd but nothing for ds yet .

I'm never normally organised for Christmas but this will be my first year with dd and I'm already excited about buying her presents and decorating the house!

Christmas shopping is officially allowed to start once the Argos catalogue comes out. It's the rules. DD has already had a look through, so I have some ideas...

I bought first present a week ago, have arranged my mum and brother coming for christmas dinner, and ordered my inlaws present.

I'm really disorganised this year because we are moving and I can't find space in the house for anything else. But yes the year is pressing on.

Ok, wrapping is a step to far!

In chez moi, it's christmas songs on the tv, no alcohol (Not after the year I wrapped scissors into a 2yo's gift due to to wine!!) and a huuge pile of presents to wrap...which gets bigger as the day goes on as everyone asks you to wrap their gifts also... I colour co-ordinate my wrapping each year...last year was turquoise and silver (Was going to be red and white but I bought 8 rolls of gorgeous red paper with glittery white spots....just to find there was to much glitter and NO sellotape would stick.... bastards!

Will write out spreadsheet this weekend (I do love a spreadsheet!!)

I've a few bits in the present drawer, mostly because I am poor so I like to spread the cost .
Currently DD wants the Care Bears Care a lot castle playset. The one made in 1988 and ££££ on Fleabay . Wonder if I can make one Blue Peter Stylee?

I'm with the poster who said Christmas wrapping means polar express, but in my case, it's sherry. Only time I drink the foul stuff :)

I'll do my main wrapping on Chritmas ever but do bits when I can.
I've always sent DH to the pub so I can wrap but the pub he goes to has changed and he doesn't like going in with out me (he's not soft, it's just become more of a couples place whilst before he would meet mates and have a game of pool)

Looks like he is going to break my routine this year!!!!

My sister and I were discussing Christmas this morning!

This year, I have invited my family to my house for Christmas. We usually go to my Mum's but I think it'd be nice for ds to stay in his own bed on Christmas eve and I quite fancy staying in my pjs as long as possible.

I've been picking up bits and pieces for a while - same as every year. I had a bit of a clear out a couple of weeks ago and found a few things that I'd forgotten about so am further ahead than I'd realised!

I don't wrap anything until the last minute otherwise I forget what's inside.

It was awful

They were proper big scissors, I couldn't find them anywhere....most people would go "Shit!! And unwrap all the gifts (Or at least feel them!) to find them.....not me in my drunken haze...I thought "Ach they're around here somewhere i'm sure"

It's always fun to get a phone call on xmas day saying "Thanks for the gift he loved them....not so much the huge scissors though...."
