No, there aren't.

oxocube · 26/12/2010 07:59

I'm not in England so can't help you with UK supermarkets but there must be ..... surely? There is another thread on here about folks leaving their bird shopping til the last moment in hope of a discount, saying that many turkeys had sell by dates a few days after Christmas.

hifi · 26/12/2010 09:00

oh great,go to plan 2 then. thanks

Shock. My message was certainly genuine! There was definitely a thread about turkeys having sell-by dates after 26th. No idea whether you can pre-order online though. You may just have to turn up and take a chance. Good luck with plans A and B Xmas Smile

Loads in Sainsburys this morning. We got one of their expensive free range ones 50% off.
Pretty much ALL turkeys had used by dates of 26th.

WestleyAndButtockUp · 26/12/2010 13:48

Why'd you think I was being nasty? I was just telling you my opinion, based on looking in 3 supermarkets in the 3 days leading up to Christmas.

Why take offence when someone answers the exact question you asked?

allnightlong · 26/12/2010 13:49

But you could buy a fresh one today and freeze.

hifi · 26/12/2010 14:09
