I would just like to say a huge thank you with \link{http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=469923466781\this} (I really really hope the link works - there doesn't seem to be an "easy" way to share videos with people not on your friends list - only photos)

Please excuse the typos, and grammatical errors. And yes I know there's a thread for thank you's already. But it just made such a huge difference to our Christmas. We wouldn't have gone without, and we'd have had a lovely time anyhow, but a small budget went an awful lot further because of the kindness of MNers Xmas Smile

Thank you.

Those on my FB (who were subjected to my entire Christmas day photo collection) can attest that my boys had that smile on their face for every photo.

I tried to includes photos of pictures of the boys with something from each of my santa's - but was difficult to remember who sent what in the mayhem that is Christmas morning.

They've been so happy today having such a huge variety of things to occupy themselves with Xmas Smile

Baroquin
I am really touched you have gone to so much trouble to create that video, I so enjoyed watching it and as santa 42D said to recognise some of the gifts, and see your lovely boys with the stockings etc.
Thank you so much. x

MmeLindt · 26/12/2010 21:43

You deserve it.

Your boys are bloody gorgeous.

But was that chocolate Santa missing a head?

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 26/12/2010 21:44

oh i love the expression on your ds(2?) face with the k-nects. that is a priceless picture

[runs off to sob] mnet is fabby dabby!

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 26/12/2010 21:54

you're welcome 76D - though I'm most Xmas Blush (at myself) that I realised I managed to not take a single photo of DS1 with his stocking. I'm blaming the fact that I was only half way through my first caffeine intake of the day when he opened it.

I still can't quite get over how many lovely presents there were and the fact that so many people (not just my 3 Santa's - but everyone else that donated to other people) spent so much time and money on making other peoples Christmasses so much better. It would be so easy to spend the money on presents for your own friends/loved ones - but so many people didn't

I don't think the DS's and I will every forget out "Mumsnet Christmas" and I hope in the future to be part of making another MNers Christmas as special as you made ours Xmas Smile

LOL Mme - yes it was missing it's head -DS3 (being 3 and all) couldn't resist the lure of a huge chocolate Santa. He did at least lovingly place it in his new Christmas tumbler rather than dumping it on the floor though.

FairyTale - yes that's DS2 he couldn't quite believe that he'd got a k-nects/lego type thing of his own. DS1 has had a fair few for birthdays from friends but somehow DS2 never has. He was absolutely thrilled with it and once he's closed is mouth said to DS1 "are you jealous" Xmas Grin

I'm sitting here in tears having just watched that. MN rocks Grin
And your boys, they are just so gorgeous x

ChippingIn · 27/12/2010 04:25

Baroquin - that is a lovely, lovely clip. You are such a lovely person, it's no wonder your kids are all so loving & caring. I'm glad you & the boys had a good Christmas. I personally think that this is what the Secret Santa should be about, putting a smile on some little faces & making Christmas a little better/easier for the parents of those children.

(I'm not your SS - just nosey curious Grin)

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 27/12/2010 10:56

Chipping - it's not just to say thank you to my SS's Xmas Smile - it's for everyone that was involved the SS this year.

They're all amazing, even those that nominated people - they thought of someone else and went to the effort of nominating

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 01/01/2011 00:58

tell him it's the New Year thing getting to you - very emotional time and all that.

(although having watched a billion times while putting it together I've just watched it in full again and blubbed Xmas Blush)

NewYearNewSolo · 01/01/2011 21:00

S'ok! my Dss FB was signed in, so I couldn't see it! Sorry Blush

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 01/01/2011 21:04

haha - I was wondering Xmas Grin

Not taking it off Xmas Smile.

DS3 randomly said to me "do you remember the mums santa"

DS1 asked him "do you mean the Mumsnet Secret Santa" and he replied "yeah" with a huge Xmas Grin on his face.
