Realised I forgot to take the gammon out the freezer, so did and a couple of hours later it was still as frozen solid. So I sat it on top the stove with the oven on 100 degrees, then moved it to the grill then a number of hours later it's now merrily boiling away in a pot of coke... are we now doomed to be meatless on boxing day?
I thought it would be someting akin to microwave defrosting...
