Ordered my dd's present on the 6th December. I got an email today because of the weather item won't be delivered in time for Christmas. Gutted - but what do I do? Any ideas? anyone else in the same boat?

May I also add I spent evening in A&E so unable to tear down to the shops to buy a last minute replacement!

How do I tell my 5 year old Santa has let her down :(

There was a thread yesterday with someone in the same boat. People suggested a note from Santa saying that the present is on its way but he just hadn't been able to deliver it in time for Christmas day, due to snow etc.

What a shame for your 5 year old Xmas Sad.

Oh no! What is it? Any hope of finding one tomorrow and returning the late one?

Thanks Winterwonderland - I did look to see if any threads were posted as felt sure I'm not the only one. I did think about a letter too but a bit stumped as to what to put on it.

Nanny I bought her a DS in pale pink which took me ages to find - it comes with all accessories and games too! I sustained a head injury yesterday so a bit concussed today and resting up! not fit for running around the shops again!

OK how about DS fall off the sleigh and landed in the ocean so got damamged - have to go back to lap land - rest rudolph and pop in with ds next week? magical or hmm?

A lovely letter of explanation from santa- could you get somebody with pretty handwriting to do one? My great gran had the most elegant copperplate writing, maybe an older relative of yours has 'Santa' writing? :)

love the idea about it falling in the ocean! but i think i'd probably have to try and find one. Or will she be getting lots of other bits and bobs that she may not notice? hope your head is ok

Thank you all for your suggestions and thanks for the link gillybean. I suppose the silver lining is the magic lasts a little bit longer!

Thank you x
