I am so so upset and angry.
Decided to get DS1 a 2nd hand PS3. 1st one i bought off Ebay arrived and when i tested it, it didn't work. Eventually got seller to agree to me returning it (at my cost!) and got a refund.
Bid and won another one, emailed seller to double check all working etc, they said yes all perfect.

Arrived today, Just tested it and it powered up and seemed fine until i put a game in that i bought for Ds1 ready and the console shut off and bleeped followed by yellow light then red flashing light. Now won't work and the game is stuck in it.

I have no money to get another one so now Christmas is going to be ruined for Ds1. I can't think of anything i can do at such a late date.Sad

Fucking Ebayers. AngrySad

Have you heard from the seller yet?

SproutsMakeTortoiseFart · 23/12/2010 23:42

maxy I had one reply stating all was fine before sending and that it maybe change in temp in transit lol! And asked exactly what was wrong. So i explained and had no other reply so i have opened a dispute. I really need to get the game out one way or another though!

wtf? as if. being in your house it would be fine now anway - and besides, if that was it, it wouldn't have worked to begin with but then would have done - IF it was going to work. Have you spoken to DS? what an absolute bummer

maxybrown · 23/12/2010 23:46

I have to say we sold our wii fit on ebay last year - ad it WAS perfect, fortunately we sold it locally so we could show him it all workking first - but they aren't always dodgy.

biancacbwantsaquietchristmas · 24/12/2010 05:33

If you take it in to a local place will they repair it today? If so will you pm me?

Alouiseg · 24/12/2010 06:27

this place is excellent for repairs

SproutsMakeTortoiseFart · 24/12/2010 18:52

Only just got online. Couldn't get anywhere today to get it repaired plus no funds to do it.
Seller has agreed to me returning and getting full refund, minus cost to return Angry. Why should i pay out about £14 to return it? Plus no mention of the game stuck in it.

Will talk to Ds1 later once other 3 Dc are in bed. Not looking forward to it. Sad

Alouiseg Why that link?

Sprouts - I thought under the Sale of Goods Act or Distance Selling Regulations you shouldn't have to pay to return faulty goods? Or is it different if its a private seller?: Anyway, Consumer Direct (trading standards) are very good for advice -

Hope your DS isn't too upset.

Alouiseg · 25/12/2010 07:36

this is the correct link

I had a ps3 repaired here far cheaper than Sony could do.

Don't know whybthat link came up, computer gremlins!

Aww verity It is so annoying isn't it? DD2 was upset because the wheel won't stay clipped onto her new dolls pram. Easier to sort than PS3 hopefully lol!

One bit of good news, i opened up the PS3 tonight and unscrewed the disc drive and got the disc out (phew). Plus got it all back together safely! Still doesn't bloody work though! Will get it packaged up ready to return. DS1 has been really good about it. Smile
