I've had the Lidl one before - it's probably my favourite of the imitation Baileys I've tried, hope you enjoy it if you get some :) (no Aldi near to me so can't comment on that one though)

brimfull · 21/12/2010 21:39

ahh minimilk thanks will try that one then

Irish Meadow is the best knock-off baileys - about £4 in tesco. i find the other knock-offs a bit saccharine but luuuurve this stuff Xmas Grin

brimfull · 21/12/2010 21:47

ooh petty thanks

Oh, I love Irish Meadow. Tesco also do a "Finest" one thats reduced to £9 just now.

Blackletterday · 21/12/2010 22:00

The Tesco finest one is nice, I had that last year.

Joolyjoolyjoo · 21/12/2010 22:02

I've tried the aldi's one and its ok. Have also drank the tesco's cheapy one (£4, I think??) and it's ok too! (but then I drink anything Xmas Blush)

geordieminx · 21/12/2010 22:02

Asda Irish Knights is nicer than Baileys Grin

NetworkGuy · 21/12/2010 23:04

sb6699 - while the Tesco 'Finest' may be 9 quid, the TV ad this evening was for 2 bottles of spirits for 20 quid, so it would be possible to get 2x 70cl Baileys for not much more per bottle... unless the 'Finest' are litre bottles...

Anyway thanks all for the tips on which alternatives have been enjoyed.

Not been in big Tesco store here for a while, so if the trains are running again on Friday I may make a quick trip into town and see what they have, pop into Aldi if it is still where I think it is and also stop in Asda for a quick look and some cheap Mince Pies if they have any...

BelligerentYhoULE · 21/12/2010 23:08

I am currently drinking one called O' Grady's - not quite as good as real Baileys but nicer than the Sainsbo's finest one I had a few weeks ago.

BelligerentYhoULE · 21/12/2010 23:09

Sorry - Sainsbo's Taste The Difference
