My bloody budget is basically more than halved on account of two clients not paying me.

They WILL pay...but I suppose they'll do it after Christmas now. I was going to get Mum a subscription to the Lady and some stocking fillers but it's over £60 for the subscription and I can now only spend up to £30.00 on her.

She likes makeup and clothes...Xmas Hmm so unless I go to a cheaper shop (which isn't her style) then that's out of the question.

She's HARD to buy for unless you're loaded as everything she likes is expensive.

ANY suggestions please?

A voucher for clothes shop she likes so she can add up the extra money to buy what she wants.

You could get lovely cashmere gloves or even a scarf for that budget.

Should have said she is anti-voucher..."But it's not a present is it?"

You could print some lovely family photos off, of your DCs perhaps and some ones of you and any siblings, and put them in a big collage or a lovely frame. You will possibly have some left over for a pretty scarf as bling has suggested.

My Cashmere gloves are from Brora and cost £25.

Marks does a selection of cashmere stuff I think (I only saw men's scarves and gloves but assume they have ladies as well).

Uniglo do cheaper versions that are nice.

Some of those specialist tie/scarf/glove places will probably also do some.

Or department stores usually have a small selection.

Leather gloves
Leather purse
Photos always good, in a frame.
Christmas plant arrangment.

Marks do fabbo cashmere wrist warmers for 25 squid iirc.

Posh bubble bath eg Clarins or Molton Brown?

Eight Hour Cream or something? Surely that's cheaper than 30 pounds?

Hmmm....she does love gardening! Maybe a christmas arrangement might be good...plus chocs. Thanks so much people.
