I was intending to get DP the box set from Amazon for 27.30

However a friend has just told me The Book People have the same 10 book just not in a box set for 9.99

It would be stupid to pay nearly 3 times the price just to get the box set wouldn't it? Any ideas how I can make the 10 loose books look nicer?

I'd just wrap them really nicely. TBH I bought them all individually & wasn't that impressed with how the box set was presented when I spied it in Smiths the other day while I was looking for something new to read

Grumpla · 15/12/2010 15:25

Yeah the box set is not all that. Box slightly too small to get the books back into easily for a start!

You could wrap them all individually and do a vampire themed treasure hunt round the house!

I always find that if I buy a box set the box is a struggle to get them back into!

I like the themed treasure hunt idea.

Don't think we'll have time for a treasure hunt!

Shall I wrap each book seperately or not?

Yep, and then tie them together with a big bow (if you're going to be all boring and not have a treasure hunt that is, how unreasonable, it's only Christmas day, it's not like you'll have a million other things to do or anything... Xmas Grin )

lucysmam · 15/12/2010 21:27

Do what Grumpla says, with a big bow. I'd be well chuffed if someone had got them for me & wrapped them all separately!

Brown wrapping paper? Just nip down the post office and wrap it in normal brown paper then! Maybe a few dabs of paint if you're feeling really creative?

lucysmam · 16/12/2010 19:37

Brown parcel paper with a tasteful bow? or some nice ribbon tied in a fancy bow from the market if you're that creative

nappyaddict · 17/12/2010 14:54

Not allowed to be plain parcel or craft paper lol, that's cheating apparently.

Just to add I wouldn't buy the box set either, partly due to cost and partly as the books are still coming out, and I would be really annoyed to have a box set and a few odd ones.

On the wrapping paper I am sure M&S have a brown paper with red shiny Xmas trees on.
