Wrapping presents - anyone do just parcel paper with no tags, string or ribbon?

Last year I did parcel paper with parcel string and wrote on the paper in silver/gold pen instead of using a tag.

The thing is I found string so fiddly I was considering not using it again this year.

But will parcel paper on it's own look a bit crap as I don't use tags either?

I do. Am too lazy/tight for tags Blush

So do you just use the brown paper you get from post office etc? Do you wrap with sellotape, string or both? Do you buy a nicely coloured pen to write on the paper with or just black/blue biro?

I buy coloured paper, it's cheaper! Try for plain stuff rather than Xmas though as I can use it for birthdays too.
Use Sellotape & whatever pen we have lying around. Black marker last night but dh was drawing on them too

These boxes are good. You don't even have to wrap them!
