OK, so I have a variety of children to buy presents for, around £5 each. I don't know these children terribly well, so would appreciate any ideas.

Boys - 1.5 years, 2.5 years, 3.5 years, 6 years, 6.5 years, 11 years

Girls - 8 years, 14 years (but young for age)

Many thanks. Xmas Smile

annuals
other books
funky gloves
book tokens
stationery/pens
soap stuff for girls (maybe for boys but more of a gamble)
fun bath stuff that colours the water

gadgets from Hawkins bazaar

I give nephews and nieces under 10 books and over 10 get £5.
Space hopper?

gelli baff! it is horrid stuff but my ds loves it, so i would suggest for the 3.5-8 yo. Amazon do it for around £5.00 per box but i can't link as i am on DH laptop and don't know how to Blush.

chocohohoholic · 14/12/2010 21:42

Younger boys, cars or DVDs.

11 yr old boy, addictaball, traffic jam game, something like that.
Girls, make up, something crafty (shrinkies, mosaics), jewellery.

morethanyoubargainfor · 14/12/2010 21:42

i don't mean horrid in a bad way, it basically turns your bath water to jelly like texture so not something i would fancy sitting in but kids love it!

thisisyesterday · 14/12/2010 21:43

doing a link is just the same on any old laptop you know! Wink

op i would get books!

morethanyoubargainfor · 14/12/2010 21:46

Have you looked at the Bookpeople website? www.thebookpeople.co.uk They have amazing bargains! Also, would be wary of buying anything soapy, speaking as a mum of a girl who gets thrush when washing hair in the bath, never mind fancy bath products!

Book people - 4 chuggingtonn books for £4.99 for first 2 boys (2 each) - £5
Annuals for next two boys - top gear and star wars or two star wars as take it they are not brothers - £4 each tesco
final 11 year old boy - agree cash or £5 HMV voucher
girls 8 and 14 - hot chocolate kits - or something similar - mug, hot choc and marshmallows not much new afraid

1.5 yo: musical instruments

2.5 yo: playdough

3.5 yo: stickers

6-7 yo: Lego kit

8 yo: Argh! Girls! No idea.

11 yo: it has to be vouchers I'm afraid, unless you know what they're into.

14 yo: see 8 yo above...

Boots 3 for 2 could be a lifesaver here!

I wouldn't rely on thebookpeople this year tbh, I doubt it'd be delivered on time for xmas. They are slow IME.

Early learning centre have good board games, there's a sale on I think or you may find a voucher in the post or online. I've got Silly Stackers for my 3yo and Pop it in the Post for my 1yo.
