Cheap but BIG present for a 6 year old?

ShanahansRevenge · 13/12/2010 20:42

Ok...so DD 6 has got a good amount of gifts for Christmas but nothing "big"..her little sisters pile will look larger (a lot) because it is easier to get cheaper things at this age and DD 6 likes things like crafting and "Make your own lipgloss" etc.....so her pile is smaller!

She hates dolls prams and houses...and I cannot THINK of anything which I can afford now...can spend another thirty pounds give or take....any suggestions for a physically big presie which is not going to cost ££££?

Please?

why bother? Put some of it in a 'big' box and save yourself the money

omnishambles · 13/12/2010 20:47

Theres a huge long rectangle of pens/art stuff on letterbox here

ShanahansRevenge · 13/12/2010 20:52

Oh Cybill! No! She needs a BIG present!

That's a good one omnishambles! Four feet when open and full of messy crap lovely craft items which she will adore!

Slightly worried about ordering online though...more ice predicted soon!

Dexterrocks · 13/12/2010 20:57

The Playmobil take along farm is big and was selling for £23 in John Lewis last week.

DaftApeth · 13/12/2010 20:58

How about a bean bag or floor cushion?

Or a fleecy blanket to cuddle into when watching tv?

A clothing item? Dressing up gown?

Towel from Disney store?

Dexterrocks · 13/12/2010 20:59

Toys'r'us had a huge Strawberry Shortcake Strawberry with characters and a little cooker with food to slide into it etc for just under £30. Top of the budget but BIG!

PaisleyLeaf · 13/12/2010 21:00

One of those storage drawer thingies or boxy sort of things with compartments to store all her crafty stuff in?

geraldinetheluckygoat · 13/12/2010 21:00

what about a big plastic storage box to store all the art stuff in? A roll of walpaper backing paper/art paper for painting on? Big sketch books from the works. The works does lots of arty stuff like easels, oooh or what about canvasses so she can paint pics for her room!

ShanahansRevenge · 13/12/2010 21:00

Oooh! Pogo sticks! And B&M Bargains! That's FULL of big cheapo things! Will visit on Wednesday!

Now she would love a bean bag but DD2 will be jealous....cannot cope with beanbag wars.

Put a helium balloon in a very large box Smile

DaftApeth · 13/12/2010 21:12

Another thought, how about one of those huge plastic art folders to keep all her artwork in? Like a big plastic suitcase.

BilboBloggins · 13/12/2010 21:28

Are you near an IKEA? Their blackboard/easels are cheap - I think about £15. We've had our about 3 years and it still gets played with.

electricslide · 13/12/2010 21:29
