Buying a Wii - should I wait until after Christmas?

I want to buy a Wii but for various reasons won't be giving it to DSs until a few days after Christmas. The thing is, I can't decide whether I'd get the best deal buying it before or after Christmas. Normally I'd think about waiting for the post-Christmas sales but there seem to be some good Wii deals on now. Any thoughts? Will it make much difference?
TIA.

NB that VAT will go up in January I think. Some retailers may swallow the cost temporarily, but the safest bet might be to buy between Xmas and new year.

The best deal is for a black wii with the board for £169 or £179 in places. Or the mario kart package for £149 is a fab deal if you don't want the board. There are various bundles about depending on what games you want and still quite a few in stock.
