Do you put gifts under the tree or hide them until Christmas day?

?

I have always hidden them and brought them down christmas eve after the boys are asleep.

With them being older, this year I've put them under the tree.

Am wondering if I am in for 14 days of moaning or if they get used to it.

Or if I should bung the lot in the loft! Grin

Too worried about them being stolen to have them under the tree. :(
Mind you, at 2 and 4, I don't suppose that ours are old enough to appreciate delayed gratification anyway. Grin

Ours were always hidden. It was so great to wake up to a massive pile. You become desensitised to them if you put them under gradually.

I put them in a bag under the stairs as my son will probably eat them. When he's older I'll put them out a few days early so he can feel and guess.

I like DS to open his gifts with the giver so if he has them given to him before Christmas he is allowed to open them.

Presents from Santa, me, DP, Grandma, Grandad, Aunty and Uncle are put under the tree when he is in bed and opens them in front of everyone on Christmas Day.

Under the tree, but not until last Mindee is picked up and i have no more otherpeoplessmallchildren in the house.,
Then we all put them under tree except for ones from Santa which get put downstairs on Christmas Eve when Dcs are in bed, although they "know" both of them.

If I were to put any gifts under the tree they would be unwrapped in minutes by mad dog with a passion for paper Hmm

Will have to hide everything and she (dog) will have to sleep in the kitchen on Christmas Eve once Father Christmas makes his delivery at about 11pm Grin
