Anyone else waiting for tons of online Christmas shopping to arrive???

Had a bumper online shopping week at the end of November and NOTHING has arrived due to this weather. I rely on online shopping due to my extreme laziness, and have a lot still to buy. Am panicking that nothing is going to come before Christmas.

Spoke to my postie but he just says everything is stuck in a big warehouse in Bathgate...

Someone reassure me that my presents will appear!

They will, there is still time! Were it the 23rd it would be different :o

I waited ages for an order from La Redoute and when I phoned to investigate they had cancelled it, for no apparent reason, and didnt let me know! Have re-oredered but will not be using them again I think.

Guess it depends where you are, fmg... here in N Wales it is wet, but with ice still covering many pavements (horrid to walk on, and I need to go back out to get the cat some food!)

There was a massive Royal Mail delivery van a while ago, backing into the close, so things are definitely getting through.

PS Where's Bathgate ?

I am getting a little concerned I must admit - I have ordered a helluva lot and received practically nothing.

I've made a few phone calls about mine and companies say it is due to the weather.

Network Guy, Bathgate is near Edinburgh.

My dh is chilled and is ordering more stuff online as we speak.

My postie does delight in negativity though and actually gave a sharp intake of breath before saying 'you'll be lucky'.

theres two weeks left, providing we dont get more snow i reckon you'll get it soon!

fmg - wondered if you were in Scotland... given 4,500 people managed to reach Frankie Boyle's show, and another 4,000+ unable to get there, things seem rather hit and miss.

Have heard about chaos and can only wish you well...

... but if things did not turn up by Christmas, would it really be a massive problem ? Could you not celebrate some aspects separately (unless there is a big family get together that cannot be postponed) ?
