I'm starting to lose my mind reading all the reviews on amazon! DD already has a lot of games as all my friends and family have taken to buying her games.

Her favourites are super mario and tinkerbelle. She also has junior brain training, peppa pig and some dolphin thingy.

I really want to pick a lovely game for her as it's the only real present she has requested. She hasn't asked for anything else and I don't have a clue what to get her.

I've looked at cooking mama, sims, animal crossing and the imagine titles. Anybody have some experience of any of these games?

my girls love cooking mama. dd1 is getting hannah montana, and dd2 is getting phineas and ferb, and nintendons each

my dds liek cooking mama and animal crossing the ones with the "real" pets are also popular (though i get tired of listening to them going " lucky lucky " - name of their dog)

Can I ask, am a complete dsi novice, and need to get a few games for dd (also 7) Are they all compatible? S'only I keep seeing games that say DS not DSi....

mamalovesmojitos · 07/12/2010 11:16

yes bucharest, they are compatible.

thanks very much for all of your answers. i didn't know there was a new tinkerbell- that's definitely worth a look. cooking mama reviews differ wildly! i'll have to think carefully about it.

mario party i've never heard of, will look that up too.

the new tinkerbell one is Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure. There also seems to be Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue.

Definitely MarioKart, that's the one DS game that's suitable for all ages, as far as I've seen. And if DD has a friend round with a DS, they can link the consoles and race each other, so it's quite a decent game.

I've bought dd a Hello Kitty game - no idea if it's any good but she likes Hello Kitty. Also the Penguins of Madagascar as she loves them on tv! Her fave games she already has are the Littlest Pet Shop, they have been good value.

Sims Agent is my DDs favourite, on all the time

mamalovesmojitos · 07/12/2010 21:49

oooh its tinkerbell and the lost treasure that she has already. it is a brilliant game if anybody is considering it. really good, beautiful to look at and nice mini games.

she mentioned something about the hello kitty one today too.

thanks again for all advice.
