What was your most exciting Christmas gift as a kid?

Mine was a pair of red roller boots with a big red stopper at the front and rainbows on the sides.

Then I was about 13 my aunt bought me some lacy pants and matching camisole much to teh horror of my mother! I loved them!!!

I don't remember anything extravagant at all but loved it all the same.

How about you?

It was always the things that weren't on my list that I remember liking the best - a magic show one year and a typewriter another year. Mum says it was the things that she panic-bought on Christmas Eve cos she couldn't get whatever random thing we'd decided at the last minute we wanted Santa to bring!!

Tracy Copy Cat, she was amazing, wish I'd kept her. Oh, and the bobble hat maker, you know, a big ring thing you wrap wool round and then pull over - thought I was doing "proper" knitting like mummy.
