Any opinions on Kindle or Sony reader or any others?

Am thinking of getting some form of e reader for dp -does anyone have one, or any opinions on them, do they all do the same thing. Any advice appreciated.

i have an ereader, i love it, think the kindles are significantly cheaper, i imagine that the do the same thing!

I love my books the smell but dp is a bit more techy will have to have a browse online

I have a Kindle for Christmas, and have had a brief play I preferred the Kindle, because it's lighter, slimmer and cheaper.

I got a Kindle last Christmas. I wasn't particularly enamoured to begin with because the only books available were from the US website and therefore fairly ££££££. You are now able to buy books for the UK site though and I'm thrilled!

I don't think it will necessarily replace books for me, but it is really handy, especially if I haven't had time to get to the library or have run out of books on hols.

Have had a quick check online and I guess I will get the Kindle, the only other thing is an ipad and that is way beyond the budget.
