He works on my team but he is new and i dont know him well at all. what generic gift can i get him- limit of £10? Anyone know anyone of that age (I am older and no idea what works for taht idea. all theey seem to talk about is game apps on their phones but have no idea which ones and couldnt really get that for a gift anyway). is a tie suitable (though dont know his taste and would be obvious if he didnt ever wear it that he didnt like it!) he doesnt seem to eat the chocolates that are often out for birthdays etc. bottle of wine seems suitable for a woman but not a man somehow?

i-tunes gift cards start at £15, so that wouldn't work.

You could get an HMV gift card though or Play.com.

How about gloves or a scarf?

M and S have some good gadgetty gift-type things.

There's series of books...

1000 albums to listen to before you die
1000 places to see before you die
1000 things to eat etc etc

Always good for a secret santa.

I'm 26 & OH is 27. If I was doing a secret santa with a group of friends and got a man I'd get something like smellies (Lynx, FCUK, Gillette type thing), beer gift set, or something from the M&S selection of gadgets.

The rodgers profanisaurus has always gone down well in secret santas with blokes i have found, however its not good if anyone is easily offended!
