DD has only been with her for a few months but the childminder has been great. What can I get her?

I was thinking about the usual wine and chocolates as it is a safe option but everyone gets enough chocolate at Christmas so some more ideas would be good please.

Scarf and gloves for when she takes the children out?

That's a nice idea healthyElfy - like your name by the way.

I gave her a cheerful bottle of wine and a quite nice Lego set for her youngest son (then about 7yo). Several people commented on what a nice thought it was.

We got cinema vouchers for childminder's teenage children last year.

I made mine a Childminder's Survival Kit once - it had gin, her favourite wine, trashy mags, tea, yummy biscuits and earplugs in it Grin

Luv it cheekyweebauble!

A pampering sorta basket is nice. Fill a basket with wine, quality snacks, bubble bath, candle, purdy things

Hi TooTired - cinema vouchers sound like a great idea - was your CM pleased?

Mine has 4 DCs - 17,15,11 & 8 - so it could be a good option. We only use her afterschool but she is fab - DS is already planning to give homemade fudge to her.

Yes, CM loved it - especially as her children decided to treat her and her DH to cinema trip too.
Funnily enough, we only used ours was an afterschool CM too.
