Can I get my real tree now?

Or will all the needles have fallen by the 25th?

We do usually have a real tree but have always got it quite late. This year we're feeling quite festive now and would like to start a bit earlier.

If you have a real tree, when do you put yours up?

Thanks!

We will get ours tomorrow, which actually means we'll go and ds will choose it (whilst I drink mulled wine!) and it will be delivered during the week. Will put it up next weekend. Usually lasts well beyond Christmas.

Depends on the type of tree I think - some years my trees look perfect still when it comes to taking them down. The place near us which sells them got loads in a few days ago - I have a feeling they won't replenish their stock so if we wait for a couple more weeks the trees will have been cut for a long time by then...

We are getting ours tomorrow - hopefully from a pick your own rather than a garden centre. DH is insisting it will have dropped it's needles by Christmas. I am convinced it won't!

I usually by a needle drop ie traditional spruce (cheaper, better shape if small-ish, better smell) and get it next weekend; we usually put it up weekend before Christmas (so Dec 19).

I find if I water it (have fab stand that holds water really well) it lasts well into January.

Yes, there's needle drop, but I hoover every day anyway. If you buy one this weekend I reckon it wil be fine at New Year still.

Fab, thanks all!

We've decided to go for it!
