question inspired by another thread, sorry if been done before, but am nosy....what of yours childrens gifts are from santa??

all, just stockings, just one gift, none??

in my house, just the stockings and santa sacks. everything under the tree comes from us or the people who send them.

we also spread gifts over a few days. the inlaws give their gifts on the day they come, so they can have the pleasure of the gifts being received, and also see the thrill on the childrens faces, and it helps stop getting the children overwhelmed.

oh, and they can say thanks on the day, saves me the hell of getting them to do thankyou letters:o:o

what are your traditions??

I think DH's family had the santa-as-glorified-postman tradition - which makes sense to me, but wasn't quite what we did.

Agree with someone else who said FC buys stuff Mummy wouldn't buy - he always provides some of the (small, cheap) longed-for plastic tat which I scoff at the DC for even wanting, as well as character socks, pants etc which I always go about

Stockings from Father Christmas, everything else is from whoever bought it. That's what DH and I both grew up with. I used to write to FC but I only ever asked for a pony and never got one anyway so never questioned that!

My mum always has a rule that everyone in her house on Christmas Eve gets a stocking, which I do as well. PIL stayed with us last year and were thrilled, it was the first time MIL had ever had one because her family didn't do them :)

I do the Father Christmas as postman thing - so no presents given by him at all. DD1 is fine with it.

Just stockings from FC, different paper here as well.

Should add that FC brings stockings to everyone in the house (grown ups as well).
