Who's got there decorations up already??

I have, done it today!

I normally wait until the 1st or the 1st weekend in Dec but this year i couldnt wait

Was wrapping presents and got right in the mood to do it.

So me and DS 5.3 decorated the house while grumpy bah humbug DH complained about xmas and played on the xbox

Who else has there deck's up or have i put them up 2 early?

2 weeks too early... at least!

mine are going up on wednesday while the kids are at school.

Half of ours have gone up today (the trees in DC's bedrooms and the kitchen) we may do the rest tomorrow.

We usually do it first weekend in December but had a very disappointed DS1 today as a big competition he was dancing in tomorrow has been cancelled due to the snow so wanted to cheer him up.

(It is after all the first Sunday in advent tomorrow so needed to go in the loft for advent candle, calendars etc so seemed pointless doing it all again next weekend )

I wont be putting mine up for another week but have begun slipping a few little sneaky festive things out. I have some lovely xmas throws out on the dc beds and am burning my xmas candles

My DH's birthday is on the 7th of December so we have a ruling that no decorations go up until after that. Obviously advent calendars do go out though.
The unexpected advantage of this is the kids long for Daddy's birthday and really enjoy it because it marks the "start" of Christmas.

I put mine up today too, went and treated ourselves to a nice new tree and it looks fab.

I have so much on in the next few weeks that this weekend was the only free time to do it (how come it always takes soo long), otherwise it would be Christmas eve and the dcs would not be happy .

It has made me feel quite Christmasssy. We have the Christmas candles too and they make it smell lovley.

Much too early mine go up 12 days before and I take them down 12 days after :)
