'realistic' fake foliage christmas decorations?

Does anyone know where I can buy some that are nice and cheap, but don't look it??

We live in a lovely old house, and every year I manage to make it look really tacky with all the glittery garlands and bits hanging everywhere. I was trying to get some inspiration from some decor magazines and have decided to ditch the glittery stuff for lots of green holly/ivy/other stuff garlands to put around the bannisters, hang along the fireplaces, etc. But they're all really expensive.

So has anyone seen any nice cheapy ones please? Thank you Smile

i have a few fake green garlands that have wire branches, not the floppy ones, (does that make sense?) anyway I use these as a base on the fireplace, stairs etc. Then I get a load of greenery and using the fake branches on the garland, I wire the real stuff on. You just twist the wire around a length of your greenery.
I'll add some faux berries, a few orange slices etc. It means you dont need as much greenery and you aren't fussing with using oasis and stuff. I 'll do this about a week previous to xmas and the greenery will keep

As above, gather the real thing on a walk with help, have fun, costs nothing. Stuff into big bags. Take secateurs and gardening gloves. It does dry out a bit by new year but still looks the real thing. Embellish with ribbon, bows, pine cones (sprayed or natural) little cubes of xmas pretend parcels, berries etc.
