My ds isn't into toys but loves his stationary. Can anybody recommend any? A gel pen is a gel pen to me and he has quite a few pencils, pens, notebooks etc. Apparently you can never have too many Confused.

TIA

My ds is the same.

TK Maxx is good for fancy notepads, bigger Asda's have glitter gel pens, coloured twist up pencils etc for £1 a pack.

Staples (I think) have Ed Hardy notepads, A4 folders etc with tigers and dragons on them.

I usually find loads of suitable stuff in WHSmiths and bigger Tescos.

Have you tried highlighters and post it notes, my ds loves them! Only downside is I find small neon post it's all over his room now. He also likes stripey paper, coloured paper and plain paper pads - depending on what he's using them for. Oh and those pencils you press or twist to move the thin lead out (rather than real pencils)

Also look out for novelty pens and stuff throughout the year and put them aside. Ok not much good for this year but thinking ahead to next year :)

My 7 yo DS also loves stationery. He likes a scrap book ( Amazon have lots ), a highlighter pen ( Asda were selling 15 mini ones in a pot for a pound today ), a pencilcase ( many many places ), all the accessories eg sharpeners etc ( Wilkinsons have a good range in very cheaply atm )and good quality felt tips ( he has some with numbers on can't remember for the life of me where I got them but DD's life isn't worth living if she touches them ).

He also has an excellent collection of Tate and Lyle Golden Syrup and Treacle tins that he keeps his pens in. Thats ma boy. Grin

Muji have some unusual sized notebooks too.

our local proper stationery shops are like goldmines.

how about a battery operated pencil sharpener as well?
