Against my better judgement (suspect it will be crap quality) have got mine a Kung zhu playset and corresponding hamsters and battle armour.

Also Wii Sports Resort and a couple of other things

...but I need to even things up with his sister (she has more than him currently) - so would love to see what you are getting your 6 year old ds (it might give me some ideas!)

Camera - He wants to be a phototaker (bless) when he's older!
Tin Tin books
and stuff from the loft - sometimes a ten year age difference comes in handy!

FIMBO Wallace and grommit things here but no snack timer, sorry. This was the company that had sent my mum a brochure.

If your ds like W+G there are W+G playing cards for sale in M+S for £2.50

*jewels' - we've got a panto Christmas eve too! (ditto, it cost too much-Shockat >£100)

Thank you so much LifeofRiley. I got a snack timer brand new from Ebay yesterday, ended up paying £10 including p & p but it is just the kind of thing ds will love, so it will be worth it to see his face. Thank you again.

OBLOMOV - you say you are truly astonished at what people buy and must be spending £2/£300 - well yes I am and then some but everything DS gets is from us. We don't have grandparents, aunts, uncles to give extra gifts. All we have is the three of us so yes I spoil him and spend a fair bit at Christmas although with the help of these threads, black Friday etc nothing has been close to full RRP.

I love seeing how quick trends change. This was from only 4 years ago, yet I'll bet no child has a zhu zhu pet or paper jams on their christmas list this year!

weaselsquirrel · 08/12/2014 13:34

Grin just realised this is from 2010!

macnab · 08/12/2014 14:13

Our DS is almost 7. He's getting a PS3, Skylanders Trap Team, Minecraft, walkie-talkies, a kite, books, a ben10 watch and some lego figures.

DS is almost 7. He is getting:
PS3
Skylanders Trap Team
Minecraft
Walkie Talkies
A kite
Books
Ben10 watch
Some fake off ebay Lego figures

Last year the Elves left him a huge plastic storage box filled with arts & crafts stuff (he loves to make things) and this year they will be refilling it Smile

YonicScrewdriver · 09/12/2014 09:19

Ds (7) wants a game where you get a category (like Jobs) and an initial letter and have to name things in the category

Does anyone know what this game is called??

He is also getting Uno, a science museum kit

YonicScrewdriver · 09/12/2014 09:21

Never mind, it's just the thread I need (have not got enough ideas yet!!)

Janet12Conger · 09/12/2014 11:48

It is very easy to give the gifts to this age group of children. Like you can give:-
Things they can play in inside the home.
Football
Story Books
Books in which he can read about Jesus
Bunch of pen and pencil.
