I am totally stumped for a main present for my 8 year old.

She's not really 'in' to anything particularly, doesn't like pink any more. She seems to be a bit inbetween.

Any ideas? What are you getting your 8 yr old???

(in other words....H-E-L-P)

Can't go wrong with some Sylvanian Families if you want to get a toy type presnt. Or a CD player and a CD or two if you want something else.

if it helps:

for DD (9 next week) we are getting:

birthday - pogo stick , giant stuffed tiger (her choice), beanbag

Christmas - reduced Heely's, and lego

From family she will get Build a Bear voucher, BopIt, Sylvanians.

plus smaller stuff.

How about:

music player (CD or ipod)
stilts
scooter
skates
bike
camera
keyboard
pets
guitar and lessons
camcorder

I would go for a Build a Bear voucher.

I think if you start with those Sylvanians you wont stop! they are expensive and get everywhere. Unless she is the kind of girl who puts things away. I think 8 is getting abit old to be starting with them.

Has she got a bike?

redheadmum · 20/11/2010 22:59

yes, she got a bike last year which she hasn't grown out of yet (thank goodness!).

I feel she's on a bit of a cusp still likes toys but wants something a bit older too (she started juniors this year). So I was thinking some toy ish stuff and some sparkly shoes type thing.

She's not into Sylvanian families, or a collector like that.....

am trying to find a dance DVD she went to a friend's house and they all lined up and did the dance routines which she loved. Have text the mum, but if anyone knows a good one, I'm all ears :o

My dds are 9 and 7 (one either side of yours!). For Christmas, dd1 is having a pair of Heelys and a Digital Camera, dd2 is having an MP3 player and some DS games.
