My 4 yo dd loves Orchard Games' ladybirds and tummy ache
She also loves Ker Plunk, twister, junior Monopoly, snakes and ladders, ELC Bingo game, snap, charades for kids.
I'm hoping you get lots of replies as I'd like some inspiration for something new too Smile

Lucky Ducks

Buckaroo

Perfection (called something else now I think. Put the shapes in the holes before the time runs out basically)

Hungry Hippos

Whack a Mole

The3Bears · 20/11/2010 18:19

The orchard games are also good if you dont already have them, ds loves the shopping list game.

The3Bears · 20/11/2010 18:20

Oh yes hungry hippos wanted to get this for ds this year, already spent too much though :)

My ds loved the hi ho cherry-o game. This was sent by his grammy in the states though so not sure how easily you can get it over here.
Basically up to four players have cherries on their tree that you have to get into the basket without the bird or dog interferring. You spin a dial to see what happens (how many you pick, if the bird nicks one out of the basket etc). It's great for learning counting/subtraction but is fun despite this!

The magic toothfairy game and balloon lagoon are excellent for this age too and I can highly recommend.

yy to Orchard Games

Favourites here when DS was 4 :

  • Pop to the Shops
  • Crazy Chefs
  • Spotty Dogs

He also started getting into Jenga about that age.

TheHouseofMirth · 20/11/2010 20:49

We love the co operative games here

richarda · 20/11/2010 21:25

Nice bamboo games such as Pandabo or Cagola.
Second (or third) the Orchard games.
My First Brainbox
Zingo from Thinkfun

I think he is probably a bit young for Rush Hour (even the Rush Hour Junior version).

DreamTeamGirl · 20/11/2010 21:50

Quite Old fashioned but at 4 he will just about cope with Frustraion and Guess Who

Kerplunk is hilarious too
