I am looking for some nice brown paper to wrap Christmas pressies.

I have looked in asda but it is a pale, insipid brown colour that won't look nice with the coloured ribbon I have bought!

Has anyone seen any?

Isn't it trendy to use brown parcel paper, with coloured ribbon, etc?

overmydeadbody · 19/11/2010 16:49

You mean parcel paper?

You can buy it in the post office.

WastingAway · 19/11/2010 16:50

Yeah, just use brown parcel wrapping paper.

JennyHaniver · 19/11/2010 16:51

How about plain brown wrapping paper with your ribbon and an old fashioned tag like this - and maybe something sparkly somewhere. Go retro Grin - it's what i'm considering this year.

Post office every time. Oxfam do a gold tinted one but for about £3 a roll more.

JennyHaniver · 19/11/2010 16:52

Is it trendy fairy?? Wow look at me bang on trend for the first time in my life...Grin

aseriouslyblondemoment · 19/11/2010 16:53

spotted some in ikea the other day

££ shops.
Way cheaper than Post Office.

FairyFay · 19/11/2010 16:54

I think it is trendy (but then I'm not at all trnedy, so what do I know!). It certainly looks nice anyway Grin

SuePurblybiltByElves · 19/11/2010 16:58

Ikea do a huge roll. Our local £ shops are crap, they don't have it Sad.

Wow thanks. Didn't expect so many replies Grin

I was planning to use parcel paper but the one I saw is not a nice colour. I want a good quality paper with a lovely brown colour. I have already bought the ribbon, it's from costco and is really colourful and pretty.

I think a trip to ikea may be in order.

I bought a huge amount of brown paper on Ebay for hardly any money at all just before last Christmas - super cheap way of wrapping presents - and very stylish I must add!
