When do you get your Dcs to write their letters to Santa??

Just wondering when I ask DS (5) to write his letter to santa so there are no suprise requests!!

mine (5 and 4) did their last night, posted them on the way to school. ToysRUs visited and done...

we did ours last week. i made sure i checked what they wanted, and then they posted them theirselves

Advent Sunday (28th Nov this year); written and then burnt on the living room fire, so the smoke and the words can go to Father Christmas.

We did ours yesterday. I don't want to leave it any later and then have them ask for things that I haven't bought! Now they can't change and I wont have a last minute panic about trying to find a Buzz Lightyear/dinosaur carpet.

Well we finally did it today and posted them too

Luckily there were no suprises!!
