I love wrapping presents adding ribbons and bows, the knowing that no-one else knows whats inside.
I get that warm fuzzy glow when I wrap the presents the thought of it being unwrapped and making someone happy.

So what is your favourite bit?

same as yours and the build up on christmas eve - even if you are just watching a film on tv (and starting on the chocs) its a lovely sense of anticipation.

CHRISTMAS EVE, wrapping last minute presents with glass of baileys and midnight mass on the telly.

Christmas Eve too, Nine Lessons and Carols from King'son the radio, getting everything ready

Boringly, Christmas Eve as well. I also love the Sunday before Christmas as we have a huge family get together. About 30 of us go for lunch then back to someone's house for tea, Quality Street and gossip.

the end of it

mummynoseynora · 18/11/2010 23:23

I hate hate hate the wrapping etc!!

I do LOVE christmas eve - finishing work, or waiting for DH to come home - the obligatory christmas songs, getting everything ready for santa with DD Grin staying up until 1am finishing the wrapping I have been putting off for weeks whilst drinking baileys .... bliss!!!

Can I start playing 'driving home for christmas' on the mp3 yet???? Grin

The wrapping is my favourite bit too.

I spread myself on the dining room table, festive candle lit, Christmas music (that does not include fvcking Wham) and go to it with the ribbons and fripperies.

And yes, that childlike excitement of Christmas Eve. One of my all time favourite ever memories is walking home from my Gran's one Christmas Eve, and thinking I would simply explode with joy.

I love the shopping for Christmas, and I love the childrens excited faces on Christmas morning :).

I love the 1st December, when we get the Christmas CD's and DVD's out, and Christmas starts to feel like it really is on its way.
I love putting the Christmas tree up.
I love the dc's carol concerts and plays
But Christmas Eve is the very best!

Shodan · 19/11/2010 13:53

I can't choose.

I love all of it, from the way-too-early carols in the shops, through the choosing, hiding and then wrapping of presents, to the prodding of slumbering children early on Christmas morning to see if they want to open their stockings yet.

Such a child. Grin

I love the build-up decorating the house, etc. Christmas Day can be a bit if an anti-climax

Turkey sandwiches on Boxing Day.
