Sylvanians - one house or two?

My older dds (9 and nearly 8) have requested Sylvanian stuff this year which they've never had before.

They both like the idea of a house rather than something like the boat, caravan etc as they want their families to have somewhere to live!

I have shopped around for good deals and bought:

-Lakeside Lodge (reduced to £30 but comes with no furniture)
and
-Riverside Lodge (£40 from Argos comes with accessories and one family - penguins)

I was going to give them one house each plus one family each but now wondering if this is too much plus I will have to buy furniture for Lakeside Lodge so going to end up costing a fortune!

So now wondering if I should return one house and they can share a house and still have one family each. Do you think this will work?

Arrgghh - so difficult when your kids are into the same stuff...and there's quite a bit of sibling rivalry between them as it is so trying to make things fair!

Go for 2 - we have both Blush but shop around for best deals. The Entertainer/Toyshop.com had a reduced package.

I would say two houses if two children.

Amazon have some of the smaller furniture set at good prices - DD recently got a living room set for about £5-6.

Debenhams have 25% off at the moment and there was lots of SF stuff on their site

My dd plays with her sylvanians in a normal (unsylvanian) dolls house.

I'd def go for a house each. There will no end to squabbles if they have to share.
Ask other family members to get some furniture.
You can get some good sylvanian stuff on ebay if you are lucky.

lol at your dds' Sylvanian travellers setting down roots.

Are you building a Sylvanian housing estate? Grin

House and family each. That way, when the penguins have a set-to with the hedgehogs they can skulk off to their separate houses and play 'Sylvanian Neighbours From Hell' at each other, lobbing teeny tiny wine bottles over the fence and throwing itty bitty fag ends into the front garden, and having wild parties till dawn, inviting all the Playmobil people (they're quite stiff to begin with but after a few drinks they're wild) and the Barbies and the Slutz.
