what can i ask people to get me for xmas as I dont have a clue

i am being asked what i want for xmas but i dont have a clue,
I have gotten excema so i cant get make up bath stuf etc incase it affects it :(
i have hair straightners and hair dryers,
I dont like people buying me clothes and plus im losing weight so i think it is waste of time at the moment,
I cant drink alcohol as I have a rare brain disorder and it affects it

what can i tell people to get me? (its mainly dp and future MIL)

Magazine subscription? Vouchers for a shop that you like? Books?

Just tell them oyu don't need anything.
Why buy for the sake if it?

Nail varnish? Lipstick? If you are losing weight it is nice to treat yourself to other little things that you feel make you look good. Or beads, jewelry, scarf (accessories)?

Leave it up to them to decide.

Surely one stops asking for specific presents after about 16?

(I've asked MIL to get me the DVD for the new Sherlock TV series, and DH to get me comfy fluffy slipper boots. It doesn't sound very fancy, but it's stuff I really want and will appreciate)

Really nice expensive versions of food you love - chocolate, cheese, jam, biscuits, anything.

Lovely natural skincare stuff that won't irritate your skin but might be too pricey to buy all year round - Green People is nice.

Nice basics like underwear - even though it may not fit you this time next year, it's always good to have nice knickers.

Annual memberships, cinema vouchers?

pjs are always nice, nice candles, a bag, vouchers, boxsets, shoes/boots

But if you don't need anything why can't you say actually I don't need anything so there is no point.

i have the same problem, only i dont have any illnesses or disorders that stop me having certain things. i currently have mum, brother and sister wanting to know what i want. brother has got me slipper boots and a dvd, but wants to spend another £20, sister wants to spend £30 and mum wants to spend £50. she knows one thing i want ( a book thats just come out) but no idea for the rest. i know i want presents, i just dont know what i want them to be!

waterlooroad - if you do that then people still buy crap you don't need or want.

I say world gifts (charity goats etc.) or nothing, and that is what I buy for people in my family. I don't get them I still get crap I don't want or need. Except for one year when my parents both went mad and bought me a SatNav and an iPod. I didn't want either but absolutely love them both.

Oen of the the best gifts I got was an industrial size box of soap powder when my kids were small. Lasted for months :)

People always say I am awful to buy presents for so I better come up with something this year.

I always tell people to get me a boots gift set or socks or some such if they insist.
I get what you're saying OP, my in-laws are the same.
I like to be suprised.
Just say "Oooh, suprise me!"

No they don't in my case as I say quite firmly I want nothing. I get the odd charity gift. The odd person gives me foody things and someone gave me a recipe for a cake which I was chuffed with.

I must be doing it wrong then waterlooroad. I've said it for 8 years now.

I think it is really rude to buy someone a gift if they do not want one.

Do you buy them a present though earwicga? I make people food but never buy them presents.

Can't you just say "I can't think of a thing, surprise me"? Where is the fun in knowing exactly what everyone is getting for one another and exactly how much is spent? Force them into putting some thought and effort in to what mught actually make you happy and do the same for them.

A new 'weekend' bag - I never have holdalls and if i go away for a night I end up taking one of DH's sports bag. I have friends with nice weekend away bags, they always look more organised.

gift vouchers for a shop you like (or just a department store near you)

something for the kitchen, like a really good casserole dish (dull, but at least something you'll use), or a coffee machine, or some sharp knives, or a new wok.

and as others have said, the ultimate present - snuggly jammies.
