Alternatives to 'Operation Christmas child' shoe box appeal?

Hi

I appear to have missed the deadline for this in DS school! We've done one for the last 2 years. Does anyone know of any other appeals which we could make could make a shoe box for? DS loves doing it.

TBH after reading a thread about it last year I'd considered trying to find an alternative organistion anyway...
