What would a nearly 14yo girl want?

I don't want to give cash. I know that she's more practical and crafty and warm-hearted as a person rather than into fashion or bands or gadgets.
Is she too old for crafty things? Any other ideas?

Yeah, 9yo DD is on at me about a puppy :). Or a pony, preferably.

Aack, I don't even buy makeup for me! But it's a thought (if DD helps me choose).
What about this, too babyish?

I think that set is too young to be honest. I think the maryz's suggestion of a card making kit (probably cheaper to buy the bits and make up your own) is a good one. Or scrapbooking kit. Or calligraphy set?

I got my neice a scrapbooking kit last year and she loved it:)
She has filled it with funny photos of herself and her friends, cinema / daytrip tickets, pictures she has drawn, things she's cut out of magazines about her fave bands / actors etc...

Does she like baking? DD2 liked her silicone cake moulds and recipe book from paperchase (blank to write in her own recipes). Paperchase us very popular with teen girls so most stationary from there would probably go down well.

TA! I happen to have the balloon set already, hence why I asked Blush.
Will look into scrapbook, I think that's definitely her style! Ta.
