Ideas for things to do on boxing day please?

We have seven adults, two with walking difficulties, and three children (2, 3 & 5) to entertain. We usually go down to the coast and watch the fancy dress into the sea and then go out to lunch afterwards but this year we are going out for lunch on the 27th followed by the panto so don't want to spend more money eating out the day before as well.

Any ideas because I don't want us all cooped up in the house all day?

Could you go watch the fancy dress into the sea, if dry wrap up and have a picnic soup in a flask, turkey sandwich etc or a bbq in the beach in hats and scarf, flask of hot chocolate and mullied wine the a spin to see some Christmas lights?

I have thought of that, good idea about hot choc though. Maybe we could if the weather is good.
