Someone talk to me about buying a PS3

Thinking of getting DH one what do i need to know?

I am going to bump for you.

Depends what you think he would use it for.

My DH asked for one for his 50th birthday (much to the DSs glee) because it has the BluRay player and we can use it to record TV on as well as being used for games.

But now the children aren't so impressed as apparently most of their friend seem to have XBoxes which according to them have better games.

my dh lives on his, we can watch blu rays on it, lovefilm is also going to streamline films through it soon. loads of different types of games and you dont need to pay monthly for the online gaming like you do with xbox.

seem to have 2 threads somehow! DH has checked and his xbox is not compatible with the kintex thingy so its either a new xbox or a ps3!! need to do some homework on this.

We have xbox games and a working xbox console and lots of extra bits which apparently would work with the new xbox and kintex thingy.

but the PS3 has sing star which scores points with me!!!
