She has sooo much, I cannot think of anything that would be of any benifit to her. She doesn't even play with the toys she has now.

I always buy her lots of presents for birthday and xmas, and would feel bad if I didn't get her anything, but really can't think of anything really useful to get her.

Any suggestions? Smile

Ask her? I have a dd who is 3.5 atm and knows her own mind. Grin Her favourite book is the Argos catalogue atm and she will happily flick through and point out her wants (and it's never the things I'd expect). 500 pages of toys and she likes the bin section.

I find that dd actually doesn't need lots of 'things'. Too much to open and it all just becomes habitual, rip off paper, fling paper aside. And why spend the money on things that won't be played with?

DD wants some dominoes. That's about it in terms of actual gifts. I've got her some books and some stocking fillers (soap, flannel, bubbles, socks, wind up toy etc) and she'll be more than happy. Plus family will buy things too.

I did ask her today and she said chocolate and more chocolate... Hmm when we are watching tv she wants every toy on the ads, but I want to buy her something useful not just buying things for the sake of it.

Ours is getting a blackboard easel, books and a couple of games. But I feel your pain, every 'fantastic-she'll-love-it' idea I have had for birthdays and Christmas so far has been largely ignored Smile

I also agree with the non-asking - when I asked DD, she requested an enormous lollipop!

I'd wrap up some of the things she hasn't yet used and give her those again!

DD1 is nearly 6 and for her the unwrapping is a treat in itself. When she was younger we used to wrap a couple of her toys in paper and put them under tree too and she loved trying to guess which things we'd wrapped. Last year, aged 5, she was disappointed to discover we hadn't done this so dashed to her room and wrapped up some toys simply so she could unwrap them again!
