What can I buy for a 20 something couple? Help please my ideas are rubbish!!

Hi, please can someone help? I have to buy for 2 20 something couples that I don't see often. they're my step brother and sister and other halves. I need to buy them something small ish but all I can think of is to buy them a 'food' type gift from Next/Boots etc eg a Pizza gift set. I have no idea what they're into really and would prefer to buy each couple a gift rather than one for each person.

The other thing i've though of is maybe a nice photo frame?

Budget £20 max for each couple, it's just a gesture and so that step mother doesn't get the hump, i'd rather just tell them I'm not buying and ask that they don't.

Last year they bought me a mulled wiine set(don't drink it and neither does dh) and a pasta set, which was useful.

I really hate this type of present buying

Think i'll also do these for my brother and sister, but with more in than the step brother/sister I'm also doing my brother and sister some homemade bits made by dc but wanted to do something else for them

A few years ago (when we were 20 something) I bought for a couple a gift box from Green & Black's which went down well I think - it had a pinny, recipe book and - of course - several bars of chocolate. I bought it from Selfridge's - in the week running up to Christmas so it was about £20 in the sale.
