Yes it's half the price of that blue thing, might be a good compromise. Just found a verrrrry scary blog,a grown up SF fan with a rather large collection. They seem to have Sylvanian outings.

Does your dd manage ok with Beechwood, doesn't get frustrated? How old is she?

TheBolter · 07/11/2010 21:38

Mila, my dds don't get frustrated, but I do with my adult-sized hands. Yes, I do rather like to play Sylvanians with the dds Blush.

Think I might draw the line at a Sylvanian outing though - do they dress up?! Confused

Also, the house does open up quite wide.

Oh, just realised, the Willow hall doesn't have that funny balcony across the middle. I'd imagine that being a bit of a pest and would have to be put back on when everything's in place!

well if it helps mt dd (9.5) has the grand hotel, willow hall, nursery windmill, nursery, bakery, canal boat, and 2 little houses from charity shop that are very old style. she also has every family i think, except the ones released this year which she will get for xmas.

she would love the windmill but we have NO room for ANY more buildings even tho it all gets played with SOOOOO much, and she loves to make a village! I think it has all been worth collecting as over the ears it seems to go up in value almost, and we have dd2 who is only a baby so will inherit it all at some point. IMO sf is much much better than ds playmobil, just no comparison in quality.

We do have too much to, but i love playing with it too, which is nice for dd!

Can you fit much furniture in Willow/Beechwood?

She doesn't have any so wouldn't be much of a problem to begin with?

MilaMae · 07/11/2010 21:50

We have the nursery, bakery and wedding.

TheBolter · 07/11/2010 22:43

Mila, we have about three or four room sets and can fit all of them in. OK it's a bit tight for space but not too bad. The Regency Hotel it ain't but like I said it's a great 'starter home!'

My seven year old daughter got hilltop manor last christmas and loves it .She since has the canal boat and caravan which she loves but are not as robust and this year father christmas will be bringing her the windmill hopefully .

I tend to look out for offers from november and get them as cheap as possible so far save loads using argos on their sulvavian family deal week and sainsburys during half price sale...it pays to shop around
