How much do you spend on the children?

Just a question really?

For goodness' sake, why does it matter what other people spend? Obviously there's going to be a huge range, depending on income, number of children, their ages, how important you think presents are, etc.

I spend £100 on each dc but have freinds who spend £250 plus! just depends on what you have or are willing to spend really,I allways look out for toys in sales and money off codes ect which helps keep the cost down.

At least fourteen thousand pounds on stocking fillers alone in my head

i normally do about 150 on each (i have 2, and there still quite young so not hugely expensive yet)

but getting a ps3 and spending 100 on each child.

i know it will work out to be more but its will be for all 4 of us.

About a 100.00 each & then they each get pj's and a new outfit.

Although my two eldest are slowly creeping up as they are older.

Probably £ 20-30 on DD (21 mo) and £60 on DS (8). We're broke at the mo, so DD will get some play doh, markers, books, maybe a little doll etc and DS- either Lego or Nintendo DS game and a book or two.

Ive just read these thinking Im so tight. I have 4 dc dd3 will be 5 mths so will have £30 put into her bank account and Ive got her 1 lamaze off ebay.
Ill spend no more than £40 each on the other 3. I plan early and look for bargains - I managed to get DD2 a dolls house with all the contents that should have been £120 for £35 today as it was the last one on display and they are stopping stocking the range (its been on top of a massive shelf so not touched - Im so chuffed)
