What will your 11 year old be getting for christmas this year?

I am looking for inspiration!

Boy or girl?

My 11 year old nephew has asked for:
Nintendo Points
A SuperDry Beanie
Wii Game Donkey Kong Country Returns
DS Game Warioware DIY
NGamer Magazine Subscription
PC Game StarWars Battlefront 2
Cherub Books by Robert Muchamore
Professor Layton and the eternal diva

So - games, a hat and a couple of books. Not very inspirational.

I have no idea. I have 11 yr old dd who wants nothing in particular but wants a surprise.

I might get her a watch.
Not much of a surprise though is it.

I will get her a worm in a tin instead. That will be a suprise.

A hornby trainset (he has nattered and nattered forever)

Guinness Book of Records

Some Superdry stuff

I-Tunes gift voucher (were on offer at Morrisons)

He has asked for some more novelty slippers

LynetteScavo · 05/11/2010 22:54

Probably this

Athough he's asked for new wheels, saddle, frame, chain braket thingy, and handle bars for his BMX. Surely then he would have a whole new bike? Confused

Can't believe all these 11 year-olds lusting after Superdry. Mine will be staying in Next for a while yet, I hope!!

Mine is getting half an X-Box (the other half he will be getting tomorrow on his 11th birthday). Apart from that, all he has asked for is the Guinness Book of Records and a new football.

bellavita · 05/11/2010 23:13

TNMD - I also have a 13 year old DS who adores Superdry, so that is where my 11 year old gets the ideas from!!

GrimmaTheNome · 05/11/2010 23:21

Mine is getting a Wii (don't know anything about them or what games and bits and bobs we should get) and an electronics kit.

Books - got Morpurgo and Horowitz sets from the Book Club. I'd not thought of Guiness book of records but it used to fascinate me so maybe! And of course, the Beano annual.

Novelty slippers - so cute they couldn't be packed up so already in use but they are a pressie anyway.

I've never heard of Superdry, we're not into labels but some sort of clothing usually figures. Perhaps a new fleece, maybe a nice skater skirt.

They are well made hoodies.. and I must say I have washed them loads of times and they are still like new.

They like what they like and if that's what they want then so be it.

overweightnoverdrawn · 06/11/2010 10:01

DD1 is 11. She has not asked for anything in particular this year so will mainly be lots of small gifts.

A charm for her Lovelinks bracelet
A fossil watch
Clothes - Monsoon, Mini Boden, Gap, Pumpkin Patch, Joules
Books
DVDs
CDs
Ds Games
Club Penguin for the WII

That is all so far but will definately be looking for some other bits too.

largewhizzingrocketandtonic · 06/11/2010 11:05

Mine are 12, boy twins.

They are getting the Lego animation camera and Spykee Vox. Both will get a few clothes and maybe some sciency kit's.

They just had their Birthday so got tons of books and money for that.

largewhizzingrocketandtonic · 06/11/2010 11:06

They got bloody mobile phones for their Birthday too, grrr.

BendyBob · 06/11/2010 11:12

Gawd I daren't even think about Christmas yet - we're just recovering financially from 3 birthdays on the trot. Bad birthday timing on my part I think!

Anyway, I just wanted to suggest a digital camera and MP3 player as ideas. We've already done those and they've been successes.
