How many gifts does ^Santa^ give your child?

Just wondered -My dc get 5 gifts each one big one and 4 smaller things.
They also get stocking fillers and gifts from extended family.

Fc just brings stocking presents
me and dh get then one bigh thing
friends and family get other stuff

Father Christmas (we are NOT american) brings small stuff, and junk. 'Proper' presents come from us - after all F. Christmas can't possibly afford expensive presents for all children, can he?

We are aware that some parents pay F. Christmas for the larger presents, which is of course fair.

i don't buy anything specifically from father christmas

all their main presents are from us and family/friends

they may think their stockings are from FC, i don't know really. i've never told them they are, or they aren't

A main present comes from us but that's often something useful- so drums last year, a laptop ds1 needs for school this.

Stockings are given from FC but are generally tat: poundland specials.

FC brings everything here. Talking to friends, it seems we're in the minority but it's the way we did it as children and I never really questionned it. DH and I've never discussed it so I assume it must have been the same in his house too!

One main present and their stocking. Everything else is from family or friends.

Those of you who say it is all from FC, how do you go about the thank you letters afterwards?
