Teenager's boyfriends - do you buy and if so what?

DH has two adult teenage former stepchildren who call him dad and are likely to be with us on Boxing Day.

They both have boyfriend's but it is unclear whether they will be joining us yet.

Do we get them a present? If so, what?

I was thinking of a token gift like a bottle of something.

Any ideas?

adult teenage? if boyfriends are over 18 then yes a bottle of something would be best.

under 18 i would suggest an hmv or amazon voucher :)

Yes, both adults.

So if they don't show up do we get to keep the alcohol ourselves Grin

I'd be inclined to get presents labelled 'To former stepchild's name and bf's name' rather than two separate presents: eg if they live together, a bottle of wine and a couple of nice wine glasses / tequila and shot glasses and a salt grinder / posh olive oil and balsamic vinegar and olives.

BG - I didn't know if joint presents would go down well with teenagers, aren't they a bit self-centred for that? But, one set of them do live together so that could definitely work.

I really like the shot glasses idea - what's not to like about that at 19?!
