Would your 5 year old be able to manage an evening panto ?

Have finally moved somewhere where there is a panto! However having looked at all the options we can't find a matinee we can do.

So am I mad to think of doing a 7pm performance. Am thinking whole experience will be able 3 hours. DS1 normally wakes early and 8.30 is a very late night when he usually falls asleep on the sofa. Do you think the excitement will see him through ? (he does love shows and concert type things and has wanted to go to the panto since he was 3)

Does anyone have any experience ?

My DS was just under 6 last year and went to both the matinee and evening performance on the last day. (His Dad and elder sister were performing, I was at home with a two yr old and I thought it would be nice for him to accompany the grandparents.) He was fine but it was just a village pantomine and he obviously had the family interst as well.

I would say to go for it!

My DS1 went for the first time less than a month after he was five. He loved it! Tired, yes, but happy.

I hope a 5 year old would manage it - my dd (will be nearly 4) will be this year! Wink

she always manages to find energy if its something she wants to do! oh and DS (will be 11 months) will be going too! Grin
